New Parish Councillor coopted
The Parish Council has coopted Ben Shelbourn, of Pickworth Road, to the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Steve Rowell. Ben has lived in the village for a number of years, and has been very active recently in opposing the proposed development in College Close. We look forward to a long association with the Parish Council.

Rutland Local Plan Regulation 18 Review
Rutland County Council have prepared the draft local plan and the next consultation phase is known as Regulation 18. This is the last meaningful opportunity for individuals and councils to influence the substance of the plan (later consultation phases relate more to how it is delivered).

Interesting Wartime Story about a former resident
Sqn Ldr Surry Bird was killed when flying a mission dropping secret agents in Hungary in 1944. The mission was completed but their Halifax bomber was shot down on their journey home.
